The 8th Grade Transition Guide
This resource is designed to help you plan for your future. Your time at the high school is an opportunity to align your strengths and interests with a potential career pathway. At the high school you can explore the BELL, STEM, H2, and ENCORE Pathways in both your core classes and electives.
Core classes are the required math, science, social studies, and English courses every student has to take. Electives are the courses you get to select that align to your interests and strengths. You'll want to take as many electives as you can while at Perry High School. You will even find that some of the electives will count as a core class (one of those required Math, Science, Social Studies, or English classes). Taking the time now to learn about electives offered at PHS is a great way to prepare for your transition to high school.
