You will be asked to meet with you intern prior to the start of the 60 hours to establish goals (5-10) for the internship and to set a schedule. Students will bring the defined goals to class and use this as their benchmarks throughout the internship as we monitor their individual progress.
Here are some examples of goals that students and mentors have developed in the past...
1. Provide interpretive services to non-English speaking clients who come to the Perry Center.
2. Research Rise Vision and determine equipment needed to get program up and running.
3. Provide training to library staff on how to use the Rise Vision Technology.
4. Assist with social media posts to promote a positive Facebook and Twitter presence.
5. Analyze data trends in order to increase fund raising and public awareness and include results in grant writing.
Here are some additional benefits to accepting a Perry High School Intern
• Obtain assistance with project needs
