By the end of this module you will have a greater understanding of how to answer commonly asked interview questions. You will have the opportunity to record yourself answering these questions and receive feedback that you can apply to the Mock Interview opportunity which is the culminating experience for this unit.

Let's begin with an overview of what an interview is and some of the specific strategies used by job seekers.
In order to prepare for this MOCK INTERVIEW Experience you will be asked to take the following steps.
By the end of this process you will be ready for the MOCK INTERVIEW Experience.
In order to prepare for this MOCK INTERVIEW Experience you will be asked to take the following steps.
- Prepare written responses to basic interview questions found in the ROUND #1 assignment below and submit using weebly. SUBMIT for Formative Grade.
- Practice using the STAR Method when answering behavioral questions in an interview. Link to Lakeland Community College's Career Service's Page about how to answer an behavior question with the STAR Method before you submit Round #2.
- Prepare written responses to basic behavioral interview questions in ROUND #2 using weebly. Assignment found below.
- Respond verbally to basic interview questions found in the google slides (link is below). You will use screencasify.
- Self-Assess a total of 4 of your screencastify responses. Use the weebly form found under Round #2 to self-assess 4 of your responses.
- Review the feedback provided in both the written responses and through the screencastify from Mrs. Soeder
- Final Phase:
- Spend time outside of class practicing your responses.
- Talk to trusted adults about interviews they have had in the past to learn from the experiences of others.
- Visualize yourself being successful in the interview experience.
- Take care of details (resume, clothing, grooming, etc.)

After you have submitted your answers above to commonly asked interview questions and you have demonstratred your ability to apply the STAR Method it's time to use the online resource which will record your answers.
Respond verbally to basic interview questions using the PowerPoint. You will need to make a copy of it first and save it to your drive (go ahead and move it to your Internship Folder) Then record yourself answering the questions using the google screentasity. Let Mrs. Soeder know if you have any issues recording.
Once you have recorded all of the answers it's time to self-reflect. Be sure to review you answers and provide specific details in your reflection about your performance.
